Welcome to Te Tere Auraki

Te Tere Auraki is a Ministry of Education professional development strategy focusing on improving outcomes for Māori students in English-medium schools. This strategy supports four main Te Tere Auraki projects: Te Kotahitanga, Te Kauhua, Ako Panuku, and Te Mana Kōrero. Follow the links below to find out more about these projects.

For more in-depth information on Māori learners achieving education success as Māori please visit  Te Mangōroa website on TKI.

Te Mangōroa contains practical illustrations of what Ka Hikitia- Managing for Success means for teaching and learning. These examples come from a wide range of schools and offer a wide range of examples of where they were at, what approaches they used to get started, what worked and what didn’t, and how they measured their success.
